The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday affirmed that his Government has come to rebuild the country, strengthen democracy, and meet the population's needs.

"It is not only the task of the Government to come to recover and rebuild Kuelap (citadel). We have also come to rebuild the country, we have come to strengthen democracy, and we have come to meet the needs of each of sector," he said during the 13th Decentralized Council of Ministers closing ceremony in Tingo district.

On the occasion, the Head of State expressed solidarity with Labor Minister Betssy Chavez, who was censured by Congress of the Republic a day earlier.

Besides, the top official guaranteed that the right to work and rely on a Labor Code will continue being promoted, which —he indicated— was already being crafted by the Labor and Employment Promotion sector.

Likewise, the President warned that critics do not want to recognize the work and efforts made by his administration. Within this framework, he reiterated his commitment to continue the decentralized work with State ministers.

Along these lines, he announced that Loreto, Lima, Lambayeque, Ancash, Arequipa, and Tacna regions will soon be visited by his administration.

"This is our way of working; no one can take away or modify our agenda because it is you who have put us at the helm of the country," he emphasized.

Furthermore, President Castillo reiterated his call on ministries to serve the country's mayors and governors in order to turn people's demands into a reality. In the case of Amazonas region, he mentioned the construction of Chachapoyas Market.

Similarly, he argued that it was necessary to build a police school in Bagua province.

Moreover, he mentioned that his administration is committed to the construction of the Chachapoyas-Rodriguez de Mendoza Highway. Therefore, S/1.5 million (about US$409,500) will be allocated for the preparation of the technical file.
