Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday reaffirmed his administration's commitment to improving educational quality and urged all sectors to work jointly in order to make important progress regarding this goal.
"This year,
education will show significant advances. We will improve
education with everyone's support. If we do so, we will lay the foundations for the progress and development all Peruvians deserve," the Head of State expressed.
According to the top official, it is necessary that all the Inca country's sectors —such as regional governors and local mayors— participate in the task of elevating the
educational quality.
Likewise, the statesman underlined his administration seeks the success of the
school year start in all the corners of Peru.
Furthermore, he noted the government's efforts to improve connectivity in the whole country by bringing Internet to the areas which lack this service.
In this sense, Lambayeque is the first region where the optical fiber backbone tests began.
Finally, President Vizcarra expressed he is confident the government will build 20,000 houses this year and close 2020 with 40,000 for the
people affected by
Coastal El Niño phenomenon.
Remarks were made at Eliana Vinces Llanos School in Tucume, within the framework of the academic year start. He was joined by
Education Minister Flor Pablo on the occasion.
