Peru: FA Min participates in Geopolitical Stability meeting

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa participated in the high-level meeting on Geopolitical Stability "Avoiding a new Cold War" within the framework of the World Economic Forum (WEF).


The Cabinet member supported the initiatives that propose an "Earth Constitution" promoting the joint protection of global values and assets.

This is linked to a rights approach, limiting the abuses of the State and markets, while protecting the planet and humanity.

The high-level meeting was moderated by WEF President Børge Brende, who emphasized the need to cooperate so as to manage strategic risks.

Among the participants in this event, it is worth mentioning foreign affairs ministers, intellectual personalities, and WEF businesspeople from all regions, who commented on possible scenarios to get out of the most dramatic and decisive quandary.

Norway's Climate and Environment Minister

On the other hand, Foreign Affairs Minister Landa held a meeting with Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment, Espen Barth Eide, with whom he discussed the common environmental challenges we face, as well as the use of multilateral tools we have so as to face them.

In addition, the government official requested Norway's support for Peruvian candidate, Ambassador Gustavo Meza-Cuadra, to become the chairman of the Bureau of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee that will develop a legally binding agreement to address plastic pollution.
