The Presidential Office emphasized that the initiatives are focused on the execution of projects in various areas, such as education, health, and the fight against citizen insecurity.
"For the benefit of more than 35 million Peruvians! The Council of Ministers approved the draft bills on the 2026 Budget, Financial Balance, and Indebtedness. With this unanimous decision on annual regulations, the aim is to consolidate the execution of projects in educational infrastructure, health, citizen security, and more," the post stated.
The Budget, Financial Balance, and Indebtedness draft bills can only be proposed by the Executive Branch.
Meanwhile, the approval of these regulations is the exclusive authority of Congress. This must be carried out through a law that sets the maximum spending limit for the fiscal year.
