From February 5 to 7 in Berlin, Peru's Ambassador to Germany, Augusto Arzubiaga, led the Peruvian delegation at the "Fruit Logistica 2025" trade fair.

Twenty-five Peruvian companies took part in this event, thanks to the efforts of the Peruvian Commission for the Promotion of Export and Tourism (PromPeru) in collaboration with the Association of Agricultural Producer Guilds of Peru (AGAP).

Peruvian entrepreneurs met with German and European buyers and learned about the latest trends in agricultural exports at this fair, which draws more than 6,000 specialized visitors and 1,200 exhibitors from over 90 countries.

During the inauguration, Ambassador Arzubiaga hosted a welcome cocktail for the Peruvian delegation, attended by representatives from German institutions allied with Peru in export matters, including the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA), the Business Association for Latin America (LAV), and the Import Promotion Desk.

The Peruvian stand was visited by German officials, including former Berlin Mayor Franziska Giffey, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture Silvia Bender, and top representatives from the Messe Berlin exhibition center.

Additionally, Paraguay's Industry and Commerce Minister Francisco Javier Jimenez, Brazil's Secretary of State for Trade and International Affairs at the Ministry of Agriculture Luis Rua, and Guatemala's Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Hector Marroquin visited the Peruvian stand and recognized the high quality of Peru's agricultural exports.

Attendees agreed on Peru's export quality in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly mangoes, grapes, asparagus, blueberries, avocados, and citrus fruits. Following the inauguration, a traditional tour through of the Pacific Alliance member countries' stands (Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Peru) took place.

The Peruvian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a visit for graduate students from ESAN's agribusiness master's program.

They toured the Peruvian stand and attended two lectures: one on the challenges for the fruit sector in 2025, held at the fairgrounds, and another led by two experts from the German think tank AGORA in the Maria Reiche Hall of the Peruvian Embassy.

Lastly, it was announced that Peru will be the guest of honor at the "Asia Fruit Logistica" fair, in recognition of its global significance as an agricultural exporter, with a special focus on the Asian market.
