The Cabinet member indicated that the top official will participate in a series of activities during her trip to Switzerland, where the event will take place.
In this regard, the ambassador stated that the Head of State will participate in panel discussions with other guests to address issues such as plastics, the Amazon, or women.
The diplomat stressed that another focus of the Davos Forum includes what is happening in Latin America. In this regard, the President will share her perspective and speak on the matter.
Minister Schialer also mentioned that the aforementioned event —set to take place from January 20 to 24— will include among its participants board chairs and owners of large companies from around the world, which provides Mrs. Boluarte with the opportunity to attract investments to Peru.
"These (investments) obviously will not come overnight, and when they do, they will not bear fruit in a week or in four months. This will take years (to pay off), but someone has to do this work, and the President is doing it," Schialer told RPP Noticias.
Congress, through its Permanent Commission, authorized President Boluarte to travel abroad from January 20 to 24 to Davos and participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF).
During this period, the Head of State will continue to lead the country using digital technologies, according to the document that formalizes the authorization.
