The
held a working meeting with the Mayor of Lima's Ancon district, Samuel Daza; Transportation-Communications Minister Raul Perez Reyes; and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
The purpose of this meeting was to coordinate actions aimed at promoting social and infrastructure projects, as well as strengthening public safety for the benefit of the district's residents.
Ancon is one of the districts declared in a state of emergency in order to protect the population from threats to their security, promote the general well-being, as well as the comprehensive and balanced development of the nation.
The Peruvian National Police (PNP) maintains control of internal order, with the support of the Armed Forces in this jurisdiction.
In addition to Ancon, Ate, Carabayllo, Comas, Independencia, Los Olivos, Lurigancho-Chosica, Puente Piedra, Rimac, San Martin de Porres, San Juan de Lurigancho, Santa Rosa, and Villa El Salvador districts (Lima province), Ventanilla (Callao region) is in a state of emergency.
The Executive Branch adopted the measure on September 27, 2024, for a period of 60 days. It was extended for 45 days on November 27.
