The top official said the Government will spare no effort or willingness to install equipment such as this magnetic resonance imaging machine at hospitals, in addition to another MRI device already available at the 2 de Mayo Hospital, also in Lima.
According to Mrs. Boluarte, with this technology, Peruvians will no longer need to go to the private sector for this care and will be able to receive treatment in the public sector thanks to state-of-the-art equipment in the region.
The Head of State said patients can receive accurate results within 20 minutes for detailed diagnoses and care planning.
The President also highlighted the key role that this equipment will play in the treatment of childhood cancer, providing initial imaging techniques for the diagnosis and monitoring of users.
She indicated that, although it is impossible to cure all of the patients' illnesses, it is possible to reduce conditions such as anemia and malnutrition, creating jobs and building confidence abroad so that more investors come and generate more employment.
Mrs. Boluarte said this Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine positions this healthcare facility as a leader in pediatric imaging technology, providing Peruvian minors with accurate and reliable diagnoses, which were previously only available in other countries.
"You will no longer have to travel abroad; we have the solution here. We will continue, as a government, working tirelessly for the health of Peruvians. Nothing stops us," she concluded.
