on Wednesday received the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Luong Cuong, who is making an official visit to Peru.
The ceremony was held at the Government Palace Courtyard of Honor, where the Vietnamese dignitary was accorded the honors appropriate to his position.
During the visit, both Heads of State, along with their teams, discussed key issues on the bilateral and global agenda.
They also explored potential cooperation in various areas, such as trade and investment, agriculture, tourism, digital transformation, renewable energy, telecommunications, and combating transnational organized crime.
Viet Nam is currently Peru's top trading partner in Southeast Asia and holds significant investments in the region.
This marks the first time a Vietnamese president has made an official visit to Peru, according to the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
