Government reaffirms commitment to using AI for Peru's sustainable development

Defense Minister Walter Astudillo on Wednesday highlighted the participation of Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen in the AI Action Summit, which took place in Paris on February 10 and 11.

The Cabinet member noted that the event reinforced Peru's presence in the global debate on AI uses, regulation, and digital transformation.


"With the presence of the Prime Minister at this event (AI Action Summit), the Peruvian Government reiterated its commitment to putting forward initiatives to harness AI for sustainable development and to continuing collaboration with other global actors to build a more inclusive future," Astudillo stressed.

Remarks were made during a conference. It was led by the head of the Defense sector, who is in charge of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) due to the Cabinet chief's trip to France.

On this occasion, Astudillo was accompanied by Ministers Morgan Quero (Education), Jorge Montero (Energy-Mines), and Raul Perez Reyes (Transportation-Communications).
