Similarly, the Head of State indicated that her concern and attention is focused on the population of Arequipa region and the rest of the Peruvian south.
Mrs. Boluarte noted that, as soon as she was informed about the earthquake, she contacted Cabinet Chief Gustavo Adrianzen and State ministers, so that they could stay in communication with the region and attend to any eventualities that may have arisen.
The entire Ministerial Cabinet is on alert in order to monitor the situation and execute all necessary measures, she emphasized.
Mrs. Boluarte called on the population to remain calm and to stand united as a family to respond to this contingency.
"My heartfelt embrace; we are monitoring what is happening in our beloved homeland and addressing any needs that may arise," she expressed.
President Boluarte, along with the official delegation of ministers accompanying her in the Chinese city of Beijing, engaged in communication with the COEN.
Cabinet Chief Adrianzen and Defense Minister Walter Astudillo, who also participated in the virtual meeting, are in the earthquake zone supervising the deployment of humanitarian aid, through brigades that travel to the affected areas.
According to reports, there were nine slightly injured individuals who have already been discharged from medical care.
Besides, humanitarian aid is being transported by air.
Additionally, military personnel are in the earthquake-affected area to assist the population.
