During a plenary session on Wednesday, the National Justice Board (JNJ) rejected an appeal for reconsideration filed by ex-Attorney General, Patricia Benavides, against the resolution that had ousted her from said position.

The aforementioned appeal also sought to reverse the decision of the collegiate group to dismiss her sister, Superior Judge Enma Benavides, and Provisional Supreme Prosecutor Azucena Solari.

The appeal for reconsideration received unanimous votes (against) in the cases of the former Attorney General and Solari.

Meanwhile, the case of the former Lima Justice Court member was dismissed by majority, with the deciding vote by JNJ Chairman Antonio De La Haza.

In the case of Patricia Benavides, she was found responsible for having interfered in the investigation, launched by Prosecutor Bersabeth Revilla, against her sister Enma.

Enma Benavides had allegedly released drug traffickers in exchange for bribes.

The latter was dismissed once it was verified that she had interfered in the prosecutor's function to improve her position in said investigation.

In turn, Solari received the same sanction for her role in the dismissal of Prosecutor Revilla.
