stated on Sunday that it is her Government's desire to deepen bilateral relations with Japan, noting that the current ties between the two nations "are going through a good moment."
These statements were made by Peru's top official during the opening of the bilateral meeting with
Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba at the Government Palace in Lima.
"It is the Peruvian Government's desire to deepen this relationship, making better use of our complementarities, based on trust, shared values, and common interests. I am confident that our conversation will be fruitful, reflecting the positive bilateral agenda between our countries," she stated.
Similarly, Mrs. Boluarte emphasized that these bilateral ties "are currently going through a very positive phase, with growing dynamism in the political, commercial, investment, and technical cooperation areas, and with an excellent outlook for the future."
In this regard, the top official underscored that Peru and Japan maintain a "solid and historic friendship," which has matured and evolved over 150 years of diplomatic relations.
Lastly, she congratulated Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba for taking on the leadership of the Asian country and wished him great success in his role.
The Japanese leader is on an official visit to Peru, following his participation in
APEC Economic Leaders' Week, which ended on Saturday.
