APEC Peru 2024: Delegates visited Leaders' Summit venue

The facilities where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum Economic Leaders' Week will be held were visited by over 100 delegates from the economies that comprise this bloc.

The visit was coordinated by the APEC Peru 2024 working group, chaired by Ambassador Carlos Chavez-Taffur, with the aim of detailing the dynamics of this meeting.

The mega event will take place from November 10 to 16. It will see the participation of the highest authorities from each economy that makes up APEC.

The main meeting will be held at the Gran Teatro Nacional (Grand National Theater).


This was the Second Pre-Advance Visit made by the aforementioned delegates to the facilities of the summit that will take place in Lima as the culmination of activities corresponding to APEC Peru 2024.

Ambassador Chavez-Taffur reported on the logistical work and coordination being carried out for the aforementioned gathering.

In this context, he explained how the International Press Center, located at the Culture Ministry headquarters, will operate. The diplomat noted that it will host over 2,500 journalists from various parts of the world.


Venues and airport

Moreover, visitors learned about the venues where the various meetings scheduled for November will take place, receiving detailed information on the subject.

They also visited Jorge Chavez International Airport and Air Group 8 headquarters, in Callao region, to observe the details of the arrival and departure of their leaders in and from Peruvian territory.

Peru is hosting APEC for the third time after the 2008 and 2016 editions.
