Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen on Wednesday stated that the public budget for fiscal year 2025 is "realistic and coherent," adding that it is intended to strengthen the country's path to economic recovery.

Remarks were made during his presentation at a Congress plenary session.

Joined by other Cabinet members, he supported the Budget, Indebtedness, and Financial Balance Bills for Fiscal Year 2025.

"Our economy has begun a recovery process, an expansion cycle, supported by increased investments, prudent management, and sound economic management. Nonetheless, it is necessary to solidify this path with a budget that is realistic and coherent; these are the characteristics of the budget we have brought to Parliament," Adrianzen stated.

"As the assembly is about to vote on this management instrument, I would like to reiterate a fundamental principle that I am sure we all share: a budget is not simply a document containing figures; it is the roadmap that will guide our nation's development, a reflection of our priorities, and a commitment to the well-being of all our fellow citizens," he added.

The Cabinet chief specified that it also addresses the country's major needs and those of its citizens, such as health, education, security, potable water, connectivity, and agricultural development.

"All of this with the aim of bringing progress and well-being to every corner of our homeland," Adrianzen stated.

He added that the Government is firmly convinced of addressing the needs of all Peruvians, "especially of the most vulnerable."

"And to continue fostering Peru's growth and development, with greater stability and social justice for its citizens," he noted.
