The Executive Branch has ordered the closure of Peruvian Consulates in Dublin and Cork, Ireland.

Supreme Decree No. 026-2024-RE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Saturday, made said measure official.

On April 16, Peru's Embassy in Ireland informed the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs of the closure of both consulates.

In this regard, the Peruvian Government informed its Irish counterpart that consular services in the host country will continue being provided by the Embassy's Consular Section.

The Peruvian Consulate in Dublin was established in April 1988 and the one in Cork was created in February 2001.
