Australia's support for APEC Peru 2024 highlighted

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer held a meeting with Australian Ambassador Maree Ringland at which they highlighted the excellent bilateral relations and Australia's support for the development of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Peru and its accession process to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The heads of Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry and Australia's Embassy highlighted the exchange of high-level visits in the coming months —within the framework of the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC 2024) to be held in Australia and the APEC Leaders' Week in Lima, Peru.


Minister Schialer also met with the Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic, Joaquim de Sousa, who congratulated the Peruvian government official on his designation and wished him success in his new role.

On this occasion, they highlighted the strong level of bilateral relations and political dialogue.


These events were held at Torre Tagle Palace, the Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters, in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
