The Peruvian Government —through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs— has appointed Diplomatic Service Minister, Gonzalo Voto Bernales Gatica, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Qatar.

This measure was made official via Supreme Resolution No. 137-2024-RE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Friday.

In this regard, the corresponding credential letters and full powers shall be granted for him to perform his duties.

The date on which the diplomat must take up duties will be set by ministerial resolution.

Furthermore, this decision was made in accordance with the law that regulates the participation of the Executive Branch in the appointment and designation of public officials (Law of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic and its Regulations).
