Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer on Friday attended the inauguration of the 61st Munich Security Conference, the world's leading forum on international security policy.
At this event, key foreign policy players address global challenges such as transnational organized crime and the situation in Venezuela.
Minister Schialer highlighted the broad potential of bilateral relations in areas such as sustainable mining, renewable energy, and German investment in Peru's infrastructure sector.
In turn, the State Secretary confirmed his visit to Peru at the end of March for the inauguration of the new Jorge Chavez International Airport.
The two dignitaries agreed to intensify cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
He also invited her to visit Peru.
Lastly, both officials welcomed the upcoming technical meeting in Lima aimed at defining a roadmap.
