FA Ministry: Peru laments death of 11 people in Sweden shooting

Peru, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lamented the death of 11 people in Örebro, Sweden, as a result of a shooting that occurred on February 4.

In a statement, the government agency expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic event.

"Peru fraternally supports the government and people of Sweden in these difficult times and expresses its strong condemnation and rejection of this brutal act of violence," said the communiqué issued on Wednesday afternoon.

Eleven people, including the suspected attacker, died on Tuesday at an adult education center in Örebro, 200 kilometers west of the capital, Stockholm.

The incident has been described by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson as the country's "worst mass shooting in history."
