Economy and Finance Minister Jose Salardi on Tuesday announced that the Peruvian government will present an investment project portfolio in Europe totaling US$50 billion.
"Yesterday, we were briefly analyzing what our next roadshow in Europe will be like. As a country, we will be bringing a portfolio of nearly US$50 billion in projects for the coming years," Salardi stated.
During the concession contract signing ceremony for El Algarrobo water-mining project, the high-ranking official emphasized that the government is working on projects to reduce Peru's infrastructure deficit.
"We are tackling the infrastructure deficit head-on, and it will be crucial to ensure that all these lines of action are firmly on track," Salardi said.
"For this, there are high expectations regarding the reforms we are implementing, which will significantly shorten time frames, allowing Peru to generate a strong dynamic for growth in the medium and long term," he added.

A couple of weeks ago, Minister Salardi stated that over the next 15 months, the government plans to push forward the awarding of 80 projects, nine (9) ongoing contract addenda in progress, and 13 being structured under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and asset projects, amounting to approximately US$46 billion.
Additionally, on Monday, the government presented a portfolio of 22 irrigation projects involving a total investment of US$24.061 billion.
