The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte arrived at the Attorney General's Office in Lima on Wednesday morning to testify before the head of said institution, Juan Carlos Villena.

As reported by various media outlets, the Head of State arrived at the Public Ministry headquarters at 8:30 a.m. (local time) and left a few minutes before 10 a.m.

It should be noted that both her arrival and departure were marked by tight security measures.

On the other hand, as reported by the Judiciary, the prosecutor's requirement to request confirmation of the seizure of three Rolex watches and a bangle bracelet will be assessed on May 2 at 10:00 a.m. —within the framework of the investigation against the President for alleged illicit enrichment.

The Supreme Preparatory Investigation Court will hold the hearing virtually.

Likewise, it states that the dignitary submitted a document requesting that this measure be declared unfounded, as did Ayacucho Region Governor Wilfredo Oscorima.

The watches and the bracelet were seized during the operation by the Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints Section of the Attorney General's Office on April 10, 2024.
