In a statement released on Saturday, the
Ministry said the program
began with the evacuation of 10 of the 73 Peruvians residing in Lebanon, who are registered and with whom permanent contact is maintained.
The 10 Peruvian citizens were voluntarily transferred to a safe area in the country's northern area. Some fellow citizens have expressed their desire to remain in their place of residence.

The Israeli Army on Saturday attacked buildings in the southern outskirts of Beirut where it believes Hezbollah stores missiles. It destroyed dozens of buildings and forced hundreds of people to flee their homes.
The attack occurred just hours after Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said such an attack was imminent and aimed at destroying Hezbollah's strategic capabilities.
The Lebanese Health Ministry indicated that the attack left six people dead and at least 91 wounded.
