highlighted that President Dina Boluarte has ordered the Executive to redirect resources toward projects that will improve the quality of life for
The government official made a presentation to the plenary of Congress on Wednesday.
Minister Schialer stated that during the National Border Development and Integration Council's (CONADIF) last session, held in February, the formulation of an agenda for the development of the Amazon trapezoid —which includes the Santa Rosa de Loreto district— was approved.
The high-ranking official mentioned that projects will be promoted there, focusing on improvements to basic services, such as upgrading the equipment of the local health center and schools, developing a market center, providing electricity, among others.
The Cabinet member specified that his sector —as Conadif's governing body— is already coordinating the execution of these projects with the respective Ministries of Health, Education, and Energy-Mines.
"Furthermore, President Dina Boluarte has seen fit to take into account and approve a redirection of Executive Branch funds to urgently address those issues that have been identified as critical," he emphasized in his speech.
"We consider that the succession of provocative acts that followed is being studied and analyzed by our authorities, both judicial and political," Schialer added.
The diplomat also indicated that the agenda for the upcoming meeting of the Permanent Joint Commission for the Inspection of the Peruvian-Colombian Border (COMPERIF), to be held in Lima this September, is still under negotiation.
However, he said, the Peruvian State will propose addressing aspects of cooperation with Colombia regarding navigability on the Amazon River, in the Leticia area, with the aim of creating the conditions to address the neighboring country's concerns.
