Peruvian Communities Abroad and Consular Affairs Director General Pedro Bravo reported that 122 compatriots (105 in Israel and 17 in Iran) will be evacuated by land to a safe location no later than June 25.

The official indicated that, through Peru's diplomatic missions in Israel, Egypt, and Türkiye, the transfer of the nationals —who have already been registered— is being coordinated.
"They are the ones we expect to evacuate to a safe area in the coming hours or, at the latest, by Wednesday (...) What I want is to reassure everyone —obviously within the very complex situation in the region. All our consulates and embassies are working," Bravo said in an interview with RPP Noticias.
The diplomat mentioned that the compatriots to be evacuated from the conflict zone include tourists, stranded Peruvians, and those in vulnerable situations.
Regarding the recent Iranian attack on the largest U.S. military base in Qatar, the ambassador stated that constant contact is being maintained with the Embassy in Doha to assist the 250 Peruvians residing in that country.
"We have an embassy there. I just spoke with the ambassador, and he told me that things are calm, at least for now. An informational chat group has been created, along with channels (such as emails and social media) to receive inquiries from our fellow citizens," he indicated.
Bravo emphasized that there is an evacuation plan and a contingency plan in place to provide assistance to Peruvians in the conflict zone.
In this regard, he explained that the evacuation will be carried out by land, as the airspace is currently closed in both Qatar and Israel.
The ambassador noted, however, that no requests have been received so far from Peruvians seeking evacuation from Qatar.
Moreover, Bravo advised compatriots in the Middle East to follow the recommendations and alerts issued by local authorities.
