U.S. will celebrate Peruvian contribution to its culture at White House

The contribution of Peruvian migrants to the United States will be highlighted at an event to be held at the White House in Washington, D.C. on July 19.

Senior officials of the Government led by U.S. President Joe Biden will participate in the upcoming meeting, the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry has announced. 

On the Peruvian side, Ambassador Alfredo Ferrero and Peruvian community members in the North American country will be present at the event.

Cultural exhibits

Within this framework, cultural exhibits showcasing the richness of Peru's cultural heritage will be presented to attendees.

These include traditional dances, contemporary music, and gastronomy.

The Peruvian community is most numerous in the State of New Jersey, with nearly 200,000 people.

In that jurisdiction, the city of Paterson hosts the highest number of Peruvians.
