The Economist underscores President Vizcarra's victory

17:48 | Lima, Oct. 15.

British magazine The Economist recently published an article about politics around the world, which underscored "Vizcarra's victory" concerning the constitutional dissolution of the Peruvian Congress.

"Peru's president, Martin Vizcarra, dissolved the country's congress, which has obstructed his legislative program, and proposed to hold a congressional election in January," the publication reads.

Likewise, The Economist recalled that the former Congress refused to accept its dissolution and voted to suspend Mr. Vizcarra as president.

"It installed the vice-president (Mercedes Araoz) in his place, but she quit after just hours in the job," it concluded.
