Prime Minister Eduardo Arana stated that the Government has made a
real commitment to the Santa Rosa de Loreto district, a border area with Colombia and Brazil, due to its geopolitical importance and the need to provide well-being to the population living in that area of Peru.
In this regard, the Cabinet chief highlighted that a Mac Express was set up a year ago so that Peruvian citizens can carry out procedures with various State-run institutions.
"The Government has assumed a real commitment to Santa Rosa, not only due to its geopolitical importance but also due to the social gaps that need to be addressed," he stated on the TV show Edicion Especial.
Arana said that progress is being made in the district, and in addition to providing humanitarian aid, "commitments have been made to bring electricity to Santa Rosa de Loreto," along with a floating dock project, healthcare improvements, and educational support.
In this sense, he emphasized that the Executive Branch is promoting a working group and a comprehensive plan for the development of the Amazon. These include investments in infrastructure, roads, the fight against drug trafficking, illegal mining, and border security strengthening.
Concerning the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the Cabinet chief stated that the Executive Branch's stance is not one of rupture, but of reflection and dialogue.
"The goal is to strengthen the defense of human rights in Peru, always in respect of sovereignty and the constitutional framework," he asserted.

As for the relationship with the Municipality of Lima, the Prime Minister indicated that it is one of institutional collaboration.
Arana said that decisions on projects such as the trains "are technical, not political, and that dialogue is always open."
Finally, he added that the Government is working to leave a solid portfolio of projects and investments, ensuring continuity in development and economic stability beyond 2026.
