Peruvian Prime Minister Mirtha Vasquez on Wednesday led a new session of the Council of Ministers, which was held virtually.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Cabinet chief reported that she had suspended her in-person activities after undergoing a molecular test that confirmed she had contracted COVID-19.
"I have mild symptoms thanks to the (3) vaccines. Accordingly, my face-to-face activities have been suspended, but my work has continued in a remote manner since the antigen test conducted yesterday," Vasquez wrote on Twitter.
"Thanks for the well wishes! Get vaccinated!" she added.
