Peru's Pflucker wins IMSA Prototype Challenge Championship

18:29 | Lima, Oct. 11.

Peruvian driver Rodrigo Pflucker on Friday secured first place in the IMSA Prototype Challenge Championship held in Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta (U.S.).

"I am very happy. It was our main goal since last year," he expressed after the race.

Alongside his co-driver Austin McCusker, Pflucker had a great campaign since the beginning of the season on board the No. 47 Forty 7 Motorsports.

The 23-year-old is the first Peruvian to win this title in the IMSA Prototype Challenge.

"The former champions of this category have found success, we aim the same thing (…)," Pflucker added.

He went on to add his idea is to continue competing —in the upcoming years— in IMSA and the main motor racing competitions in the United States.
