Peru strongly condemns terror attack in Ankara

The Peruvian Government, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place in Ankara, Türkiye.

In its message, the government agency expressed solidarity with the Turkish people and government.

Similarly, the Government of Peru reaffirmed its rejection of terrorism in all its forms.

Moreover, it "reiterates its call to the international community to redouble its efforts in the fight against this scourge."

AFP reported that an explosion was heard near Turkey's parliament in Ankara on Sunday. It was a terrorist attack that left two police officers injured, according to the Interior Ministry.

"Two terrorists arrived in a commercial vehicle at around 9:30 a.m. (0630 GMT), in front of the entrance gate of the General Directorate of Security of our Ministry of the Interior, and carried out a bomb attack," the ministry said.
