Peruvian Prime Minister Mirtha Vasquez on Wednesday affirmed that the molecular test she underwent confirms the positive diagnosis for coronavirus.

Nonetheless, the Cabinet chief has mild symptoms thanks to the three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine that she had received.

"Accordingly, my face-to-face activities have been suspended, but my work has continued in a remote manner since the antigen test conducted yesterday," Vasquez expressed on Twitter.

"Thanks for the well wishes! Get vaccinated!" she added.
