The Government aims to formulate a new national policy for the prevention and management of social conflicts, promoting stable links between the Peruvian State, civil society, and the private sector,
The Cabinet chief underscored the publication of Ministerial Resolution No. 308-2024-PCM, which was released last Wednesday.
"With this initiative, the Government aims not only to resolve the critical situations arising from social conflicts but also to promote sustainable relationships of understanding among the State, civil society, and the private sector," he expressed.
Through this regulation, the process for the formulation of the National Multisectoral Policy for Prevention and Management of Social Conflicts is officially initiated.
"Therefore, this policy constitutes an opportunity to transform the management of social conflicts, promoting social peace and the development of territories," Adrianzen stated.
Working Group
The above-mentioned ministerial resolution also proposes the creation of a multisectoral working group tasked with establishing measures related to the aforementioned national policy.
Thus, this group will outline proposals to ensure the effective prevention of social conflict escalation and improve their management through intersectoral coordination mechanisms involving all three levels of government.
Furthermore, Adrianzen highlighted the
coordination efforts on this issue led by the Secretariat for Social Management and Dialogue, of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), through the Subsecretariat for Prevention and Management of Information.
The Multisectoral Working Group includes representatives from the Ministries of Energy and Mines; Labor and Employment Promotion; Housing, Construction, and Sanitation; Health; Interior; Agrarian Development and Irrigation; Environment; Justice and Human Rights; as well as from the Ombudsman's Office.
