reached US$11.163 billion between January and October this year, which meant an increase of 2.9% compared to the similar period in 2018, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported on Tuesday.
This denoted a 5.4% increase in shipments of fishery, agricultural, and non-metallic mining products.
"During the first 10 months of the year, there were higher sales of avocados (1.1%), blueberries (45.9%), frozen giant squid (49.8%), grapes (19.2%), and asparagus (5.5%), among the main ones," it expressed.
Tenth month
According to the issuing entity, this result was favored by the increase in the volume shipped.
The BCR also highlighted that Peru's non-traditional exports value accumulated an increase of 2.9% over the last 12 months thru October 2019.
"This is the second-highest growth rate among the main countries in the region," it said.
