In less than a month, the number of patients —who managed to recover from COVID-19— has doubled.
The figure should not come as surprising, taking into account that —throughout the previous week— the number of discharged people has been higher than that of new COVID-19 cases.
According to the reports issued by the COVID-19 Situation Room (from June 27 to July 6), the number of people who managed to overcome the virus exceeded that of new infections.
Thus, in this range of days, the people who completed their period of home isolation or were discharged from a health facility were: 4,218; 3,974; 3,161; 3,376; 3,710; 3,852; 3,755; 3,769; 4,336; and 3,662 respectively.
On the other hand, the report of new positive cases —in that same period— showed the following figures: 3,625; 3,430; 2,946; 2,848; 3,264; 3,527; 3,595; 3,481; 3,638; and 2,985 new infections, respectively.
Meanwhile, the number of people sampled fluctuates between 16,000 and 20,000 per day.
