Peruvian Economy and Finance Minister Pedro Francke on Wednesday reiterated that the Government guarantees legal stability and security for companies which have decided to invest in Peru.

"We reaffirm our stance on dialogue with the communities of areas of influence and mining companies towards a real and sustainable solution to social conflicts," he wrote on Twitter.

Similarly, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) shared a statement on the dialogue held with the National Society of Mining, Oil, and Energy (SNMPE).

It affirmed that Peru's Government seeks to promote a new approach on the active and positive relationship between mining companies and populations in areas of influence, after ruling out the unilateral closure of mining operations.
