Peru exhibits cultural, productive diversity at Chinese fair

The Consulate General of Peru in the Chinese city of Guangzhou participated in the 19th edition of the Guangzhou Fair on October 27-30.

The event saw the participation of more than 300 local businesspeople from various sectors and attendance of around 80,000 people.

"During the event, the Consulate General carried out various activities focused on the tourist, cultural, gastronomic, and trade promotion of the country," the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported in a press release.


Tourism and gastronomy

As part of the fair and activities for the public, the Inca delegation held a tasting session of Peruvian avocados, blueberries, and coffee, as well as a presentation on the tourist and gastronomic attractions offered by the South American country.

"This event has served to promote Peru's tourist and commercial attractions before a wide audience; besides, it has been important so as to strengthen the country's position in the local market," the ministry added.
