The Executive Branch on Wednesday made official the
, following their approval at a Congress plenary session on November 30.
The education sector will receive S/49.611 billion (US$13.268 billion), an increase of S/3.062 (US$819 million), 6.6% higher than in 2024, consolidating itself as the sector with the largest allocation.
Meanwhile, health will get S/30.373 billion (about US$8.123 billion), a 3% growth, representing S/885 million (about US$237 million).
Regarding citizen security, resources are not only provided to the Ministry of Interior but also to the Ministry of Justice, which administers prisons.
For the latter, indebtedness worth over S/3 billion (above US$802 million) was approved for the construction of prisons, which involves the Public Ministry and the Judiciary.
In addition, the amount allocated to public order and security amounts to S/15.532 billion (about US$4.154 billion), accounting for 6.2% of the total budget for 2025.
The Law on the Public Sector Budget's Financial Balance (Law No. 32186) was also published, which establishes the rules for maintaining stability in the execution of next year's budget.
On the other hand, Law No. 32187 aims to regulate the conditions for public sector indebtedness, in accordance with Article 9 of Legislative Decree No. 1437 -the Legislative Decree of the National Public Indebtedness System.
