Lima 2019: Peru's male team claims gold in Karate

Carlos Lam, John Trebejo, and Oliver del Castillo on Friday afternoon won gold medal in Team Men's Kata Final at Lima 2019 Pan American Games.

The hosting nation's athletes (25.48) defeated the team representing Mexico (24.20).

Peruvian efforts have enabled the Inca country to claim several medals on the same day.

The event took place at Villa El Salvador Sports Center.

So far, Peru has claimed 30 medals, including gold including gold (8), silver (6), and bronze (16).
