Lima 2019: Parapan American Games began with Para Table Tennis

The Lima 2019 Parapan American Games began on Thursday morning with Para Table Tennis (Men's and Women's Singles).

The competitions took place at the Sports Center 3 belonging to the National Sports Village (VIDENA).

Peruvians Luis Traverso (Class 3) and Jesus Yampufe (Class 4) lost to U.S. Jenson Van Emburgh and Brazilian Eziquiel Babes, respectively. Both of them play the sport on wheelchair.

Later, Peruvians Guillermo Yañez (Class 6) and Shirley Aguilar (Class 4) will participate as well. 

The four of them will compete again in the second session of the day in order to play the second matches of their respective groups.
