Travel agencies of China, India, South Korea, and Japan see a US$80 million business potential at 2019 Asia Business Conference, set to take place September 26 in Peru, Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) has reported.

The event will be a meeting place for tourist operators and products from Peru and Asian nations.

In this sense, 33 Asian agencies —including companies from the luxury sector— will participate, and over 500 business meetings are expected to take place at the show.

The 2019 Asia Business Conference —organized by PromPeru— is aimed at promoting the Inca country as a destination of unique experiences, high-quality products, and tourist services.

Familiarization trips

Attendees are currently participating in familiarization trips. These five journeys kicked off on September 15 and will run until September 20 in Lima, Ica, Cusco, Loreto, La Libertad, Lambayeque, and Puno regions.

This way, Asian agencies will be able to verify that Peruvian destinations fulfill the requirements of demanding travelers.

It should be noted that tourists from Japan, China, and South Korea generated US$368 million in revenues between 2017 and 2018.
