Ambassador De la Puente appointed Peru's Permanent Representative to UNWTO

Ambassador Claudio Julio De la Puente Ribeyro has been named Permanent Representative of Peru to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), based in Madrid (Spain).


"Article 118 of the Political Constitution of Peru establishes the power of the President of the Republic to appoint ambassadors and ministers plenipotentiary, with the approval of the Council of Ministers, responsible for reporting to Congress," the resolution reads.


Corresponding credentials and full powers shall be issued to the diplomat as provided by the aforementioned document.

Likewise, as stated in another supreme resolution, Consul General of Peru in Dubai Marco Antonio Santivañez Pimentel was appointed Permanent Representative of Peru to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
