President Dina Boluarte on Wednesday called for continuing the dialogue she held with various political groups in recent days, since this will allow for "forging a better Peru" and strengthening a work agenda that will favor the country's interests.

At the signing ceremony of the inter-institutional cooperation agreement for the development of the Chonta Dam in Cajamarca, Mrs. Boluarte mentioned the meetings she held with various political parties from last Friday to the first days of this week.

"I highlight the sustained dialogue with various political groups in the country, which enables us to strengthen the work agenda for the benefit of all Peruvians," she expressed.

The Head of State considered that this is because "unity makes the difference."

"Let us continue moving forward towards development and progress," Mrs. Boluarte emphasized.

"Let us continue on this path to build a better Peru; one that is more just, inclusive, and equitable. It will be the best legacy we can leave to our future generations," she expressed.

In this regard, the top official considered that the signing of the agreement through which the Chonta Dam Project will be developed "is the outcome of dialogue."

Project for development

President Boluarte noted that the execution of this work will favor the development of 322,000 people.

Similarly, "it will transform the agricultural panorama" in Cajamarca, enabling 5,280 hectares of arable land "to have greater yield for farmers and agricultural exports."

This project "reflects our commitment to sustainable progress, to improving living conditions and food security, as well as to strengthening the agricultural economy," she stated.

The ceremony was also attended by Ministers Jose Arista (Economy-Finance); Hania Perez de Cuellar (Housing-Construction), and Manuel Manero (Agrarian Development-Irrigation), as well as  Cajamarca Region Governor Joaquin Ramirez.
