Peru will participate in Expo 2020 Dubai, an international event that represents a unique opportunity to promote the best aspects of the country, as well as to boost the growth of its most important economic sectors in front of 15 million people, the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) has informed.

Under the slogan "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future," Expo 2020 Dubai will promote three sub-themes: Opportunity, Mobility, and Sustainability.

This world fair is aimed at becoming one of the most visited expositions in history.

It will take place on October 20, 2020-April 10, 2021 and will be composed of business rounds.

"Being so close to the Bicentennial (in 2021), our country must participate in an event of high global significance," Mincetur Head Edgar Vasquez expressed.

At the event, the Peruvian delegation will promote the Inca country's products and services, as well as tourist attractions

In this sense, Mincetur named former Trade Minister Eduardo Ferreyros as the Commissioner of the Peruvian representation at this event.

As is known, the United Arab Emirates holds the fifth position among target markets for Peruvian exports in Asia. Furthermore, four of the five most important markets for the Inca country's exports belong to the Asian continent
