Peru presents Action Plan to OECD Permanent Council

Vice President Mercedes Araoz submitted Peru's Action Plan to the Permanent Council of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), based in Paris (France).


According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the document is structured around three axes: governance, equal economic growth, and sustainable development.

"The presentation of the Action Plan reinforces Peru's actions aimed at receiving an invitation to begin the OECD's accession process," the Ministry expressed. 

Likewise, it will allow Peru to continue adopting the organization's standards and exchange the best practices of members. 

"Today, we have the responsibility to move, as a country, towards the proposed goal. We can do it!" Araoz expressed on Twitter. 

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organization that works to build better policies for better lives. Its goal is to shape policies that foster prosperity, equality, opportunity and well-being for all.

Its 36 member countries span the globe, from North and South America to Europe and Asia-Pacific.
