Peru: 4.6-magnitude quake jolts Lima

An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter Scale jolted the city of Lima on Tuesday at 4:47 PM (local time), Peru's Geophysical Institute (IGP) has reported.

Via Twitter, the IGP indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 23 kilometers southwest of Ancon district, at a depth of 52 kilometers.

Precisely, in the resort district of northern Lima, the intensity of the seismic movement reached the level III.

There have been no reports of property damage or injury so far.
