Mexico decided to waive visa requirements for Peruvian citizens visiting that country, according to Peru's Foreign Minister Rafael Roncagliolo.
During the 3rd Meeting of the Council of Ministers in Colombia, Roncagliolo met with Mexico's Foreign Minister Patricia Espinoza who made the announcement.

Peruvians holding ordinary passports are now exempt from visa requirements and are allowed to stay in Mexico for no more than 180 days.

Roncagliolo noted the change will help increase tourist arrivals and economic activities between both countries and also strengthen friendship and cooperation under the Pacific Alliance.
