The Peruvian badminton team grabbed two silver and three bronze medals at the IV Jamaica International 2018 tournament held in Kingston on March 1-4.

Said medals were awarded in women's singles and men's doubles categories. 

In this sense, 2017 Bolivarian champion Daniela Macias reached the finals after beating Jamie Subandhi (U.S.) with scores of 21-19, 9-21, and 21-15 in a match that lasted 55 minutes.

Nevertheless, she was defeated by Jamie Hsu (U.S.) with scores of 22-20 and 21-8 when competing for gold.

The podium was completed by Jamie Subandhi and Crystal Pan, both from the United States.

The national squad also claimed one silver and two bronze medals in the women's doubles category.

The Peruvian duo —composed of Ines Castillo and Paula La Torre— ranked second, whereas the pairs of Micaela Flores-Fernanda Saponara and Stefany Ying-Valeria Wong received bronze.

Men's

As for men's doubles, Jose Guevara and Daniel La Torre grabbed bronze.

This category was won by the pair of Tarun Kona and Saurabh Sharma (India), whereas second place went to Gareth Henry and Samuel O’Brien Ricketts.
