Peru appoints new consuls to five countries

Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry appointed new Consuls-General to cities in France, the United States, Italy, Ecuador, and Switzerland.

Vilma Ballon Sanchez was appointed new Consul-General to Paris (France), while Rodolfo Coronado Molina and Augusto Salamanca Castro will hold the same position in Houston (United States) and Milan (Italy), respectively.

Additionally, the resolutions decree the appointments of Hugo Pereyra Plasencia as Consul-General to Guayaquil (Ecuador), Jesus Vera Esquivel as Consul-General to Zurich (Switzerland), and Luis Monteagudo Pacheco as Consul-General to Loja (Ecuador).  

The appointments were made official by supreme resolutions published Thursday in El Peruano official gazette.

The documents were signed by President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Foreign Affairs Minister Cayetana Aljovin.
