Peru is one of the 10 countries that have recently submitted most ticket applications for 2018 World Cup, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) revealed on Wednesday.
The ranking also comprises Argentina, Mexico, USA, Colombia, Brazil, Morocco, Egypt, China, and Poland.
FIFA affirmed most of the requests have come from Russia, whereas the international demand remains high by accounting for 34% of the total.
As is known, ticket sales for the coming mega sports event resumed on December 5.
According to soccer's governing body, 1,318,109 applications from supporters around the world have been sent within the first 24 hours as the random-selection draw sales period ends on January 31, 2018.
Likewise, the soccer governing body noted that fans can apply for individual match tickets for all games —except for the opening and final matches.
However, if the number of requested tickets were to exceed the available inventory, the allocation will be subject to a random-selection draw procedure.
Peru's World Cup qualification
